National Gathering of Alumni 2022

The inaugural National Gathering of Alumni will take place on June 12-18, 2022, at Philmont Scout Ranch. Sponsored by the BSA Alumni Association, this week-long gathering at PTC is intended to bring Scouting Alumni back to the campfire, and to rekindle that Scouting Spirit which lies within everyone who has ever been positively and personally impacted by Scouting. The gathering is designed to help participants build or rebuild their connections to Scouting, foster connections with other Scouting Alumni, and focus on becoming a compelling ambassador for Scouting. This course is not intended to be an academic conference, but rather a social exchange of proven strategies and best practices that participants can take back to help initiate, expand or improve alumni relations efforts in their own council.

Our national call-to-action includes the following rallying points:

• ENGAGE – Build or re-build your connection to Scouting and the BSA Alumni Association through a variety of programs.
• CONNECT – Foster connections with other Scouting Alumni to strengthen our global alumni family, ultimately providing better service to and in support of the Scouting program.
• EMPOWER – Focus on becoming an active volunteer and ambassador for Scouting, in order to deliver on our mission and vision to the youth in our communities.

This dynamic week will be a fun, safe, and family-friendly program. Included in this week-long conference will also be an entirely unscheduled day for participants to custom-create their own personal adventure while at Philmont!
